Santa takes selfies and you can too and help support vulnerable families this holiday season.

Those looking for some Instagram-worthy photos can check out the sELFie Gallery at Coquitlam Centre.

It’s set up across from the Apple Store and will be open from 1-5 p.m. daily until Jan. 5, 2020.

Three new pop-up photo sets give shoppers a cheerful backdrop to take some fabulous snaps. Entry is by donation, with proceeds going towards children’s programs at Share Family and Community Services.

“This really is a wonderful opportunity to take some fun holiday photos, while giving back to our community,” said Deborah Stetz, marketing director at Coquitlam. “We hope the proceeds collected will put extra smiles on children’s faces during the holidays and in the many months to come.”

Festive scenes include a giant Elf on the Shelf, a live-sized teddy bear, a wooden train that you can sit on and more pop-up surprises.

Also visit the Canada Cane Café display and help yourself to a treat or have a seat and take a break from shopping.

Visitors can also make a toy donation to the Share Toy Bank, also set up in the same area on Level 2, near Aritzia. Drop off unwrapped toys, gift cards or a cash donation.

Gift wrapping is also available, with proceeds supporting Share programs.

Santa will be at Santaland daily until 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Elf School will also be operating during the same time, offering kids some fun and entertainment while waiting to see Santa.

Coquitlam Centre a presenting partner of Lights at Lafarge, taking place a short walk away, at Lafarge Lake in Town Centre Park. “After your shopping, we encourage you to explore Metro Vancouver’s largest free festive lights display,” says Stetz.
