Share finds a home for homeless toys

Share's Christmas toys now have a temporary home, thanks to the generous offer of temporary space from a local health products manufacturer.

Rhema Health Products has stepped up to provide warehouse space for toys collected by Share Family and Community Services for its annual toy shop program.

"Working with Share has been a pleasure and very rewarding for Rhema Health Products and its employees," says Carlo Zarrillo, president and CEO of the Coquitlam company that manufactures dietary supplements and health products.

"Our efforts in helping Share are driven by our desire to support charities in the community in which we operate. This was a great opportunity for Rhema Health Products to step up and help a local charity in need," Zarrillo further stated in a press release.

The annual toy shop program collects toys and gifts and distributes them to more than 1,000 children each year.

Share CEO Martin Wyant said the toys will be stored at the Coquitlam warehouse until April and added that the offer of space was both timely and generous. "The staff at Rhema even helped us pack and transport the toys," noted Wyant. "We are very grateful for their support."

Last January, Share vacated Andres Wines and, with the help of volunteers and Phoenix Truck and Crane, packed and transported thousands of items. In a press release, Wyant also thanked volunteers and Phoenix Truck and Crane for their support and the Peller family for allowing Share to use the space for so many years.
