Port Coquitlam's answer to bullying will take place this Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. at the Port Coquitlam Recreation Centre, with registration beginning at 11 a.m.
Hundreds of people are expected to turn out rain or shine to the first annual Snowflake Walk to End bullying, led by PoCo Mayor Greg Moore, businessman Gary Mauris and Amanda Todd's mother, Carol Todd, proponents of the Be Someone campaign.
There will be crafts for the children, face painting, refreshments, including Starbucks coffee and cookies, and inspiring words from advocates who want a world free of bullying. A slam poet and local musicians will also perform to entertain walkers.
T-shirts and bracelets will also be available to raise funds for anti-bullying programs.
One of the highlights will be the presentation of the Wonder Woman video and a few words by pop singer Elise Estrada, who met Amanda Todd, before she died, and wrote a song about her.
As well, Surrey RCMP officer Tad Milmine will give an anti-bullying talk.
