Sprinkling regs still on

With the recent spate of warm weather, the city of Port Coquitlam is reminding residents not to over-water their lawn. According to a news release posted to the city website, a lawn only requires one hour of sprinkling each week.

As part of the water shortage response plan, the following water regulations are in effect between June 1 and Sept. 30 in all Metro Vancouver cities:

Even-numbered addresses may sprinkle lawns between 4 and 9 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays while odd-numbered addresses may sprinkle during the same time period on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Even-numbered commercial properties may sprinkle lawns between 1 and 6 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays while odd-numbered commercial properties may sprinkle during the same time period on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

All non-residential properties may sprinkle between 4 and 9 a.m. on Fridays.
