Students flock to Douglas College this fall

Douglas College is seeing record enrollment this year as 11,000 students flock to the New Westminster and Coquitlam campuses. Enrollment is up 6% overall and the number of international students has increased 10% to 1,100 - doubling since 2007.

The college is expanding its offerings in sales and marketing, including the establishment of the Peter Legge International Institute for Sales Excellence with a focus on customized industry training, research and seminars, and a new Bachelor of Performing Arts degree is being offered in partnership with Capilano University, Langara College and Vancouver Community College.

David Lam campus is also seeing an influx of new students with the relocation of the Faculty of Child, Family and Community Studies. But next fall, when the relocation is complete, the Coquitlam campus will have grown by more than 850 students.
