Sunny skies are expected for the 34th annual Terry Fox Run, which is taking place at four locations Sunday across the Tri-Cities.

POCO

Port Coquitlam will be holding the Hometown Run - traditionally, the Tri-Cities' biggest Fox Run - starting at the Hyde Creek rec centre (1379 Laurier Ave.) at 10 a.m. Participants are asked to arrive early to register for either the 3 km, 5 km, 8 km or 10 km routes, and may run, walk, cycle or inline skate. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome, and dogs must be on a leash.

PoCo is testing out a new route this year, with the 10 km course heading over the Coast Meridian Overpass and down Kingsway Avenue to Terry Fox Library before looping back on itself, with a stop by Terry Fox secondary. The 6 km route will also see participants crossing the overpass, circling back and visiting Fox school, while the 3 km route will have the crowd turn at Terry Fox secondary.

The band Legal Limit will be performing classic rock covers at the Hometown Run between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and there will be a speech by Judi Fox, Terry's sister.

COQUITLAM

Coquitlam will start its Terry Fox Run at Blue Mountain Park; registration begins at 9:15 a.m. and the run is expected to kick off at 10:15.

Coquitlam will have 10 km, 6 km and 2 km routes, and all are suitable for bikes, wheelchairs, strollers and inline skaters. Dogs on a leash are also welcome.

PORT MOODY

In Port Moody, the Terry Fox Run is set to begin at 10 a.m., with registration starting at 9 a.m. and the start line located at stage at Rocky Point Park.

The event will also feature three routes -10 km, 5 km and 2 km - with the route lining the shoreline trail and looping back to Rocky Point.

The routes are suitable for bicycles, wheelchairs, strollers and inline skates, and dogs on leashes are welcome.

ANMORE

Anmore will hold its Terry Fox Run in Spirit Park (behind the village offices), with registration set to begin at 11 a.m. ahead of the noon run start. Two routes will be available at this event - 2.5 km and 4.5 km - and cyclists, wheelchairs, strollers, inline skaters and dogs on leashes are welcome.
