Suspect sought after Port Moody home 'ransacked' on Christmas Eve

Police are looking to identify a man in a break-and-enter case that resulted in numerous items stolen from a Klahaine residence.

Port Moody police are looking to identify a suspect in a Klahanie break-and-enter on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24, 2022) that resulted in the theft of numerous items.

A "brazen" break and enter saw numerous valuables stolen from a Port Moody home the night before Christmas.

Now, the Port Moody Police Department (PMPD) is seeking the identity of a suspect in connection to the case after he was caught on camera at the residence.

On Dec. 24, officers were called to a break-in around 5:20 p.m. in the Klahanie neighbourhood.

In a release today (Dec. 29), spokesperson Const. Sam Zacharias said the home was ransacked of items like jewelry, electronics and cash.

The man in question was later found on CCTV footage obtained by PMPD for the investigation.

Zacharias said police are now turning to the public in hopes of identifying the suspect, including witness statements and additional dash cam, CCTV or general video footage.

  • Wearing....
    • Two-toned baseball cap
    • Light jacket
    • Dark backpack
    • Cloth face mask
