Two Surrey residents were arrested after reports to police of thefts from lockers at the Port Moody recreation complex.

The thefts took place last fall and Port Moody Police Department investigators identified two suspects after reviewing video recordings.

Thursday, PMPD's Community Action team put the suspects under surveillance, eventually arresting a 52-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman "when it was believed that they had committed a theft at a recreation centre in Burnaby."

The PMPD press release said officers are working with other Lower Mainland police departments and more charges are anticipated.

No charges have been approved against the two suspects so their names are not being released. The investigation continues.
