Coquitlam cops are turning to the public for help in finding two suspects who held up a gas station in October.
Employees at an Esso gas station on Johnson Street at Barnet Highway were shaken but unharmed after two armed men robbed them on Oct. 11, according to Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Jamie Chung. One of the men had a gun and the other was armed with a knife.
"It is a traumatic experience when someone pulls a gun on you," Chung said. "To have to go through something like that is very difficult."
Because the safe was on a time-lock, it could not be opened. The thieves eventually gave up and fled the scene empty-handed in a silver or possibly brown mid-2000s Chrysler 300.
The first suspect is described as a male with a medium to heavy build, approximately 5'10" tall and wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants; he had bright green work gloves and was carrying a Nike backpack at the time of the robbery.
The second suspect is described as a male with a slim to medium build approximately 5'8" to 5'10"; he wore a grey hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants with white stripes and white shoes.
