Share Family and Community Services has issued a warning about someone canvassing door-to-door for the social service agency in Coquitlam and Port Moody.
"These folks do not represent Share," stated Heather Scott, director of development, who said in a press release that a person identifying himself as a Share volunteer has been soliciting donations in Coquitlam, in the Thermal Drive area, and in Port Moody neighbourhoods, including Glenayre.
"Share does not solicit door to door for food or money," Scott said.
Instead, donations can be made at all local grocery stores or to the food bank on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 2615 Clarke St., Port Moody.
