A thief who broke into a garage in Port Coquitlam's Citadel Heights on the weekend nabbed more than just tools.
The crook also took an urn containing ashes of the victim's relative.
"We are urging those responsible to do the right thing by returning the urn and the ashes," said Cpl. Jamie Chung.
The urn is described as a 10x10x10-inch brown container; it was in a burgundy tote bag with the label "Burquitlam Funeral Home" on it.
The burglar also took from the Douglas Terrace home tools worth about $600, including a Ridgid cutoff saw, a Ryobi electric drill, a junior-size western horse saddle (brownish copper colour) and a Mastercraft car polisher.

UPDATED: MISSING WOMAN
The 18-year-old woman reported missing last week has been located.
She had last been seen on Tuesday, Dec. 4 before heading out to see a friend; she was reported missing on Thursday.
On Monday Coquitlam RCMP reported she had been located.
SQUATTER ARRESTED
Coquitlam RCMP nabbed a "priority offender" after responding to a report of squatters at an abandoned house on Manning Avenue.
Officers went to the Port Coquitlam house on Monday and stopped Sherri-Ann Bennett, 34, as she tried to flee the area.
"Focus on and management of prolific and priority offenders are one of the three tenets in our crime-reduction strategy," said Cpl. Jamie Chung in a release. "The crime-reduction strategy has equipped us with the tools to target these offenders, which allows us to do our job better."
Bennett has 11 outstanding arrest warrants, including multiple possessions of stolen ID and other property, multiple breaches of conditions, escape from lawful custody, mischief, failure to appear, uttering threats and theft.
She remains in custody until her next court appearance on Dec. 11.
