Three Tri-City companies have made it to the short list for the Small Busieness BC awards.
Rocky Point Ice Cream, in Port Moody, has been nominated for Best Company, Branded Athletics, a Coquitlam company, is in the running for Best Concept, and Trish Mandewo of Coquitlam, who owns Vancouver Tumblebus, is a semi-finalist in the Best Immigrant Entrepreneur category. Mandewo immigrated to Canada five years ago.
The semi-finalists will be further narrowed down and the top five finalists of each category will be announced Jan. 30, with the winners honored Feb. 26 at the Small Business BC Awards ceremony in Vancouver.
