A 16-year-old student at Coquitlam's Gleneagle secondary school has made it to the Top 10 in a televised reality show.
On Sunday, Jennifer Gillis was shortlisted to be cast as Dorothy in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's new stage production of The Wizard of Oz, which is scheduled to run in Toronto in December.
Gillis is the only B.C. resident to make it to the final cut.
Gillis and Fiona McIntyre, 19, of Port Moody, both students of Lindbjerg Academy of the Performing Arts, made it to the Top 20 in the open casting call.
Their journey was documented for CBC-TV'sOver the Rainbow. The winning Dorothy will be chosen by TV viewers of the show as well as Webber later this fall.
