TransLink is adding extra service to make it easier to take transit to the PNE — and one of the exhibits will be its own.
TransLink's display at the PNE, which runs Aug. 17 to Sept. 3, will explore the past, present and the future of transportation in the region as part of its big public engagement campaign Transport 2050. The exhibit will feature displays to spark the imagination, including a 3D animated virtual-reality model of Metro Vancouver called MicroCity.
At the PNE, TransLink will be seeking feedback for its Transport 2050 survey, with the responses intended to help shape a 30-year regional transportation strategy.
As well, those using transit and its extra service to get to the PNE can show their Compass cards or wristbands at the gate on Fridays to get two-for-one adult or senior admission.
