Drivers heading out on their holiday trips will now have a better idea of what the road conditions will be like after DriveBC added 30 webcam locations this year.

The cameras have been installed throughout B.C. to give motorists up-to-date road and weather conditions for the route ahead.

"The cameras offer real-time images of hundreds of locations throughout the province, with a total of 457 highway cameras delivering 873 views," DriveBC said in a press release. "DriveBC webcam locations are assessed based on need, identified by residents, contractors or weather experts."

DriveBC also offers information regarding border delays, ferry lineups and safely navigating the roads when winter conditions hit.
