Legion music

The band O’Toole’s performs at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 263 in Coquitlam (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) at 7 p.m.

Crossroads coffeehouse

The Soda Crackers and Blue Lasso are on the music program for the bi-monthly Crossroads Hospice Coffeehouse fundraiser, starting at 7:30 p.m. in Mabbett Hall at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.). Admission is $10 at the door. Parking is free.

Nuit Blanche

Piano duo Amélie Fortin and Marie-Christine Poirier perform at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) at 7:30 p.m. in a concert called Nuit Blanche. Tickets are $37/$34/$16.

Extra! Extra!

Students in the North Shore Mountain Theatre perform Disney’s Newsies Jr. at the Terry Fox Theatre (1260 Riverwood Gate, Port Coquitlam) at 7:30 p.m. The musical is a family-friendly show. Tickets are $14.91 each.

Film night

Grab a seat in the Inlet Theatre in Port Moody (100 Newport Dr.) for the 7:30 p.m. screening of the award-winning flick Like Father Like Son. Directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, the Japanese movie is with English subtitles. Admission is $5 plus a $5 annual membership with the Port Moody Film Society.
