Winter Light

Musician, artist and nature lover Gay Mitchell will open her space at Studio A3 Esplanade Artists Studios in Port Moody (2709 Esplanade Ave.) this weekend, starting at noon, to exhibit her Winter Light collection.

Home show

Get renovation ideas at the Tri-City Spring Home Show, on today from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St., Coquitlam). Admission and parking are free.

New art

Meet the artists behind the work now up at Coquitlam's Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave.). The opening reception at 7 p.m. highlights the exhibits Looking Back: Expressions of History (curated by the Coquitlam Heritage Society); The First Breath (Natalie Schuler); and Florescence: Botanical Expressionism and Plant-Based Developers (Nathaniel Marchand). The three displays will be on the walls until May 23.

The band Vinyl performs at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 263 in Coquitlam (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) at 7 p.m.
