Métis Art
Pat Calihou, a Métis artist who’s known for his Métis-style paddles, canoes and wooden Métis playgrounds, will speak about his work at the Poirier branch of the Coquitlam Public Library (575 Poirier St.). His presentation is from 1:30 to 3 p.m. No registration is required.

Ball Hockey Warriors
Try your hand at ball hockey with the Tri-City Warriors, which is looking for participants for its co-ed and female-only teams. The session is free and takes place from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Poirier Forum in Coquitlam (618 Poirier St.). A CSA-approved helmet with a cage, hockey gloves and a stick are needed. For the Dogs
Dress up your pooch for the City of Coquitlam's Decked-out Dog Walk Night at Lights at Lafarge in Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam). From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., you and your pet can join the Park Spark team for a 1.2-km trek around the lake with other furry friends. Stop by the Town Centre Park Community Plaza for some doggie activities.

Legion Night

Valentine’s Orchestra
Dance the night away with your sweetie for the Valentine’s Night Dance at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way). The event, which starts at 8 p.m. with the 19-piece Bruce James Orchestra, includes a dance class at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person.

Salsa Moves
Dance to the Latin Beats with Alberto Gonzalez and Teresa Szefler of the Salsa Dance Zone as they host their Valentine’s party at St. Clare’s Hall in Coquitlam (2888 Delahaye Dr.).
