Tuesday Talks

Residents ages 60 and up can learn about the benefits of healthy active aging with fitness program staff at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. The session takes place at 1:30 p.m. in Mabbett Hall North at PCCC (2150 Wilson Ave., Port Coquitlam). The talk by the Wilson Seniors Centre Advisory Association includes fire captain Chad Evans.

Black Continuum 

The travelling exhibition Hope Meets Action: Echoes through the Black Continuum opens at POMO Museum (2734 Murray St., Port Moody) with a reception at 6:30 p.m. The display, which coincides with Black History Month, is being presented by the Royal BC Museum in partnership with the BC Black History Awareness Society. The show runs until April 22.

Kids Storytime

Put your PJs on and come down to the Port Moody Public Library (100 Newport Dr.) for a fun drop-in storytime with puppets, songs and more. Bring your favourite stuffed animal to the children's area to enjoy some fun before bedtime, from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Domestic Anger

Soha Sanajou, Panthea Vatandoost, Navid Charkhi, Nazanin Shoja and Mehdi Darvish star in Blackout Art Society’s play Echoes From Far Away Cities. The 85-minute show at 7:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) is about a documentary filmmaker from Iran who gets involved with an acid attack victim as part of her movie project. It is suitable to viewers ages 17 and older. Tickets are $45/$38/$16.
