Early Bird Sale

Today’s the last day to purchase early bird tickets for the Grade 11 Parent Dinner Dance at Dr. Charles Best Secondary in Coquitlam (2525 Como Lake Ave.). The high school event on March 9 from 6 p.m. to midnight is a fundraiser for the Grad 2025 Dinner Dance. Advance tickets are $65, and $75 after today.

Crochet Circle for Adults

Join the circle of crochet enthusiasts at the Port Moody Public Library (100 Newport Dr.) to share and learn new techniques. Bring your supplies to work on your own project. The class from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. is for crocheters who are familiar with the basic stitches. Registration is required.

Taste of the Tri-Cities

Get some deals on meals at restaurant, bars and other food places around the region. The Tri-Local campaign Taste of the Tri-Cities launches today and runs until March 10. The Tri-Local Collective is made up of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, Austin Heights BIA, Downtown Port Coquitlam BIA, Tourism Coquitlam, the City of Port Coquitlam and the Tri-City News.

Legion Night

Enjoy the tunes and jump on the dance floor at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 263 in Coquitlam (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) for a fun night with Front Page. The band hits the stage at 7 p.m.

Mamma Mia!

Sing along to the music from ABBA in Centennial Secondary Theatre’s musical production of Mamma Mia! in the school's theatre (570 Poirier St., Coquitlam). Tickets are $18/$15 online or at the door (cash only). The show runs two hours and 30 minutes, and starts at 7 p.m.

Domestic Hell

Soha Sanajou, Panthea Vatandoost, Navid Charkhi, Nazanin Shoja and Mehdi Darvish star in Blackout Art Society’s play Echoes From Far Away Cities. The 85-minute show at 7:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) is about a documentary filmmaker from Iran who gets involved with an acid attack victim as part of her movie project. It is suitable to viewers ages 17 and older. Tickets are $45/$38/$16.

Thunder from Down Under

The Australia male revue, Thunder from Down Under, is at The Show Theatre at the Great Canadian Casino Vancouver (2080 United Blvd., Coquitlam) at 7:30 p.m. as part of its tour. Tickets are via Ticketmaster.ca.
