Here's what's on in the Tri-Cities for Friday, Feb. 2, 2024: 

Early bird sale

Buy tickets to SHARE’s Imagine gala, called There’s No Place Like Home. The early bird sale ends today for the fundraiser, which takes place on March 2 at the Great Canadian Casino Vancouver (2080 United Blvd., Coquitlam). The social services society hopes to bring in $300,000 to support programs and services for Tri-City residents in need. Tickets rise from $150 to $175 after today.



Legion Night

Enjoy the tunes and jump on the dance floor at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 263 in Coquitlam (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) for a fun night with Sweet Max. The band hits the stage at 7 p.m. 



Firefighter hockey

It’s a firefighter tribute night in Port Coquitlam where the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers face the White Rock Whalers on ice. The hockey game at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) starts at 7 p.m.



Black History

Cheer on the Coquitlam Express as the hockey team honours Black History Month with a logo change for the week. Jo at Seven Eye Designs created the new image for the BCHL. The game at 7 p.m. is versus the Trail Smoke Eaters.



Pinetree Annie

Support the musical theatre students at Pinetree Secondary in Coquitlam (3000 Pinewood Ave.) as they present Annie: The Musical at the school at 7 p.m. The all-ages show features Shae Kovaltsenko in the starring role. Tickets are $15/$10.



Freaky Friday

Disney’s Freaky Friday: The Musical is performed by the musical theatre students at Riverside Secondary in Port Coquitlam (2215 Reeve St.) at 7 p.m. Cavell Parsons and Madison Overbye are double cast as Ellie while Emma Schultz and Scarlett Stratton are double cast as Katherine. Tickets are $13 online or $15 (cash) at the door.




Sit back and enjoy the Mediterranean tunes and dancing from Tamar Ilana and the Ventanas at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way). The performance begins at 7:30 p.m.
