Black History

Food, stories, music, books and art will be highlighted for the Black History Month celebration at Mackin House in Coquitlam (1116 Brunette Ave.). Join the Coquitlam Heritage Society from noon to 3 p.m. for the free display and performances.



Legion Night

Enjoy the tunes and jump on the dance floor at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 263 in Coquitlam (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) for a fun night with Whiskey Bent. The band hits the stage at 7 p.m. 



Hockey Night

See the Coquitlam Express in action at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St., Coquitlam) for a game against the West Kelowna Warriors at 7 p.m.



Dee Daniels Live!

The Inlet Theatre Music Series presents the award-winning Dee Daniels at Port Moody City Hall (100 Newport Dr.) at 7:30 p.m. Tickets at $40.54 are via



Scenes from the North

Bundle up for a musical presentation about the land of the midnight sun. Musicians with the Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble will be at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) for a recital at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20/$15/$12.



Indian Songs

Akhil Jobanputra and other classical musicians will be in the rehearsal hall at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) for an Indian Classical Music performance from 8 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $20/$16.



Quiet Riot

The 1980s glam metal band Quiet Riot performs its hits at The Show Theatre at the Great Canadian Casino Vancouver (2080 United Blvd., Coquitlam) at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale via



Salsa Moves

Dance to the Latin Beats with Alberto Gonzalez and Teresa Szefler of the Salsa Dance Zone as they host their party at the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Coquitlam (2675 Shaughnessy St.). A dance lesson for beginners is at 8 p.m. while the dance floor opens at 9 p.m. The 19+ event runs until midnight. Admission is $15.
