SD43 Cross Catchment

If your student in School District 43 wants a different school in the new academic year, today is the day to apply for a cross-catchment. The deadline is Feb. 14.

Pinetree Annie

Support the musical theatre students at Pinetree Secondary in Coquitlam (3000 Pinewood Ave.) as they present Annie: The Musical at the school at 7 p.m. The all-ages show features Shae Kovaltsenko in the starring role. Tickets are $15/$10.

Freaky Friday

Disney’s Freaky Friday: The Musical is performed by the musical theatre students at Riverside Secondary in Port Coquitlam (2215 Reeve St.) at 7 p.m. Cavell Parsons and Madison Overbye are double cast as Ellie while Emma Schultz and Scarlett Stratton are double cast as Katherine. Tickets are $13 online or $15 (cash) at the door.

Mamma Mia!

Sing along to the music from ABBA in Centennial Secondary Theatre’s musical production of Mamma Mia! in the school's theatre (570 Poirier St., Coquitlam). Tickets are $18/$15 online or at the door (cash only). The show runs two hours and 30 minutes, and starts at 7 p.m.

Film Night

The Port Moody Film Society rolls The Hate U Give, in the Inlet Theatre at Port Moody City Hall (100 Newport Dr.) at 7:30 p.m. The 2018 American drama is rated PG. Tickets are $5 (cash or cheque) at the door plus an annual $5 society membership. Ticket sales begin at 6:45 p.m.

Head over to Lights at Lafarge in Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) where the Park Spark team presents a fun sing-along with the Collage choir from 7 to 8 p.m.

My American Boyfriend, The PoCo Sweethearts, Vic Austin and Bill Marshall, Ming-Xuan Chung, Wayne Sawyer and Gordie Markle perform at the Crossroads Coffeehouse in Mabbett Hall at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.). The Valentine's concert, which starts at 7:30 p.m., is a fundraiser for the Crossroads Hospice Society. Entry is a $10 donation (cash only).
