B.C. free Family Fishing weekend at Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam's Town Centre Park.

Farmers fields

Grab your grocery bags and tour the vendors’ booths at the Coquitlam Farmers Market, happening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam).

Family fishing

It’s B.C.’s free Family Fishing Weekend and anglers of all ages can head to Lafarge Lake at Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) to fish without a licence. The Kin Club of Coquitlam will be on site to serve food (for a charge). Organized by Festival Coquitlam and the Freshwater Fishing Society, the event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

PoCo Saints

Grab a seat at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) for a 3:30 p.m. lacrosse match between the Port Coquitlam Saints versus the Victoria Shamrocks.
