Do you have ripped shirts, a wonky bike or a broken appliance? Don’t dump it in the trash: Head over to the monthly Repair Café at the Port Coquitlam Works Yard (1737 Broadway St.), where volunteers will attempt to mend items brought in from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations are encouraged.

Polar plunge

Craft beer

Imagine gala
“No Place Like Home” is the theme of this year’s SHARE Family and Community Services Imagine fundraiser, which takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. in The Show Theatre at the Great Canadian Casino Vancouver (2080 United Blvd., Coquitlam). Tickets are $175 for the gala that includes food, entertainment and dancing. Proceeds support SHARE’s social services programs such as the food bank.
