Ruzz Guitar

Bristol, England, musician Ruzz Guitar brings his high-energy Big Band Blues style to the Inlet Theatre (inside Port Moody City Hall, 100 Newport Dr.) at 7 p.m. The show by the eight-piece band includes Paul Pigat. Tickets are $39 online and $45 at the door.

Legion music

Dance to the tunes at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 263 in Coquitlam (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) where Black Eyed Susan takes the stage from 7 to 11 p.m. Food service is available.

Rock the Fox

Rock School music students at Terry Fox Secondary (1260 Riverwood Gate, Port Coquitlam) host Rock the Fox, a concert of rock covers and original tunes. Tickets are $5 for the 7 p.m. show.

PoCo lax

Cheer on the PoCo Jr. A Saints lacrosse team as they battle the Coquitlam Adanacs in their home opener at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) at 7 p.m. The game is being played on the new turf in the Jon Baillie Arena. Tickets are $10/$5.

Homecoming

Urban Ink Theatre presents the world premiere of Homecoming at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way). Penned by Kamila Sediego and directed by Hazel Venzon, the show at 7:30 p.m. centres on three generations of Filipina women in the Philippines and Canada. Tickets are $45/$38/$16.
