Radio Broadcast

IOCO Players Theatre presents War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast, Port Moody at the Inlet United Church at The Springs (2315 Spring St.) from Nov. 9 to 11. The production is based on the H.G. Wells novel The War of the Worlds. Tickets are via Eventbrite.ca.

Trailblazers on Ice

Cheer on the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers as they meet Chilliwack on the ice at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) for a 7 p.m. game.

Crossroads Coffeehouse

David Symons, Benedicte Schioetz, Rachel Prior-Tsang, Chris Fowles and Brian Baroda — aka The Side Project — perform at 8:45 p.m. at the Crossroads Coffeehouse, a fundraiser for Crossroads Hospice in Port Moody. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., with an In Remembrance opening featuring musicians Don Klein, Rob Turner, Wayne Sawyer, Gord Markle, Bill Marshall and Kate Smith, at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.). Admission is $10.

Movie Night

Au Revoir Les Enfants, an autobiographical film by Louis Malle, rolls at the Inlet Theatre in Port Moody (100 Newport Dr.) at 7:30 p.m. courtesy of the Port Moody Film Society. The flick from 1987 follows the protagonist at a French boarding school in the Second World War. Entry is $5 (cash or cheque) and a $5 society membership for the year.
