Heritage Boo!
Coquitlam Heritage has transformed Heritage Square (1116 Brunette Ave.) for a “ghoulish” party, happening from noon to 3 p.m. Hear tunes from the Carnival Band, make crafts and enjoy the entertainment. And don’t forget to dress in a Halloween costume. The event is free and no registration is required.

Trick & Treats
Families with young children can take their dressed-up angels and devils to Coquitlam Centre (2929 Barnet Hwy., Coquitlam) for a Halloween tour. Costumed kids (ages 12 and under) can visit the mall's treat stations between noon and 3 p.m. and enter for a chance to win a Halloween basket. The event is on today and Oct. 29.

Hunter’s Moon Fest
Families can stop by ƛ̓éxətəm (tla-hut-um)/Colony Farm Regional Park in Coquitlam to enjoy the Hunter’s Moon Festival, on from 2 to 7 p.m. courtesy of the Colony Farm Park Association and Wondrous Tree Fellowship. There will be kids activities, witch crafts and live music.

Under the Moon
Bill Sample and Darlene Cooper host the second show in their second annual Inlet Theatre Music Series at the Inlet Theatre in Port Moody (100 Newport Dr.) with Blue Moon Marquee taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. The band is made up of A.W. Cardinal (vocals/guitar) and Jasmine Colette (vocals/bass/drums).

Birds and Bees
The Arts Club Theatre Company on Tour arrives at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) with The Birds & The Bees. Running from Oct. 24 to 28, the show follows a turkey farmer named Sarah who has split from her husband and has moved in with her mother, Gail, a beekeeper. The production has mature themes, strong language, sexual content and nudity. Tickets are $50/$42/$16.

Tales of Horror
Step inside the rehearsal hall at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) for Tales of Horror, a night of scary stories for kids ages 12 and up. Three storytellers — Emily Kelsall, Casey Por and Tanaz Roudgar will spin spooky yarns about violence, horror and death. Come in costume. Tickets start at $16. Parental discretion is advised. The show starts at 8 p.m.
