The Tri-Cities is represented on all advisory committees at Metro Vancouver next year.
On Thursday, Dec. 19, the regional authority named its appointments for local politicians to serve on 2025 committees, which make recommendations to the board of directors.
“The elected officials who sit on Metro Vancouver’s committees play an important role in ensuring our organization is making the best possible decisions for the region,” said board chairperson Mike Hurley in a news release.
“As we go into the new year, I am looking forward to seeing continued leadership from each of these committees as we seek to deliver our services at the highest and best value for our residents.”
Next year, Port Coquitlam Mayor Brad West will lead Metro’s water committee while Anmore Mayor John McEwen, the board’s vice chairperson, will is charged with regional parks.
