The snow is melting as temperatures moderate Friday.

The big melt is on and life in the Tri-Cities is getting back to normal.

All schools in School District 43 are open today as is the Coquitlam campus of Douglas College and Simon Fraser University on Burnaby Mountain.

After two days of cold, snowy weather, that left many areas of the Tri-Cities digging out from more than 30 cm of accumulation, temperatures started to rise overnight. Rain is expected to fall through Friday.
