An educational trust fund has been set up in memory of the Coquitlam Search and Rescue volunteer who died in Anmore earlier this month.

Roland Webb, 37, was walking his dog on East Road on Jan. 17 when he was hit and killed by a dump truck.

A Coquitlam SAR volunteer for more than 10 years, Webb had worked for the BC Ambulance Service for the past 18 years. Webb also pitched in as the medical manager for the BC Bike Race series and trained many of Coquitlam SAR's new recruits.

Webb's friend and fellow BC Bike Race volunteer Brooks Hogya established an education trust fund in his memory to support the man's two children, Ethan and Abbie.

Donations can be made at any TD Bank under the account number 9900-6569004.
