Two people appeared in Port Coquitlam Provincial Court Wednesday morning on multiple child pornography charges.

Amber Davies and Carl Henning are facing one count each of possession of child pornography, making or publishing child pornography, importing or distributing child pornography and arranging or agreeing on a sexual offence against a child.

Details on the allegations are limited due to a court-imposed publication ban to protect the victms. However, Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Michael McLaughlin said investigators do not believe that anyone is currently at risk.

“The evidence from this invesgiation leads us to believe there is no broader risk to the public,” he said. “If there was, we would issue a broader warning to the public.”

According to Court Services Online, most of the offences occurred in Maple Ridge in December, however Davies’ count of possession lists Port Coquitlam as the city of offence.

Both defendants first appeared in court in August and a hearing has been scheduled for this morning.
