Update: Man with dementia found in Coquitlam

The Coquitlam RCMP were asking for the public's assistance in locating Nian Gang Ye but has since confirm he has been found
Nian Gang Ye is described as a clean-shaven Asian man with short grey hair who was last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, a black long-sleeved jacked, blue jeans and black runners. He is 5’6” and weights approximately 150 lbs.

A 72-year-old Coquitlam man with dementia who does not speak English went missing this Thursday but has been found, thanks to the publics help.

Nian Gang Ye did not return from a walk near Pacific Street and Guildford Way at around 12:30 p.m. and anyone who see him was told to immediately call 911.

“Ye has gone missing before,” the Coquitlam RCMP said in a statement at the time. “The last time he wandered he was found in Port Moody.”

He has been reunited with family.
