Coquitlam RCMP announced nine child pornography and voyeurism charges against Randy Downes, president of the Coquitlam-Moody Minor Baseball Association, at a press conference this afternoon.
Coquitlam-Moody has suspended Downes from all activities.
The 59-year-old Downes, a Coquitlam resident, has been coaching hockey and baseball since the 1980s.
According to a police spokesperson, in April, investigators with Coquitlam RCMP's Sex Crimes Unit searched his home in April and found child pornography.
The Mounties are encouraging anyone with information on Downes to contact Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550.
