The nomination period closed at 4 p.m. today (Friday) for candidates filing their papers to run for civic and school board office.
But they have until Friday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. to withdraw their name.

Of note, Port Moody Coun. Bob Elliott is not returning, leaving a seat open on PoMo city council. And Trustees Brian Robinson (Coquitlam) and John Keryluk (Port Coquitlam) are retiring.
