Value Village is hosting a hiring fair this week to staff its new location in Coquitlam.
The new location will be located at 1301 United Boulevard and will add approximately 50 jobs to the community with a mid-July 2012 store opening
The hiring fair is being held at Red Robinson Show Theatre at 2080 United Boulevard in Coquitlam from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, and candidates can call 877-821-2049 for more information. Managers will be on-hand to interview interested applicants.
Thrift continues to be one of the fastest growing retail segments and Value Village is a resale category leader with more than 280 stores across Canada, the U.S., and Australia.
"We are excited to open our third store in Coquitlam and 21st store in British Columbia," said Jeff Smail, regional director for the new Value Village location. "We have great employees at our other Coquitlam locations and know we'll be able to find excellent candidates in the area."
Each Value Village location partners with a charitable organization in its community, and this store will partner with Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver. Value Village has partnered with Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver since 1994 and pays the organization for every item donated at the Community Donation Centre at Value Village, as well for all items donated directly to the nonprofit through their home pick-up service.
