Emergency responders were called to the scene before 10:30 a.m., located underneath the Lougheed Highway overpass.

A vehicle incident may cause a hiccup for some commuters heading in and out of Coquitlam this morning (Aug. 7).

Drive BC says emergency responders, including police, are on scene at the Highway 1 incident that took place just west of the Port Mann Bridge shortly before 10:30 a.m.

As a result, the eastbound HOV and middle lanes — as well as the westbound HOV lane — are being blocked for crews to tend to the vehicle incident.

Commuters are said to expect heavy congestion through the Coquitlam side of the Port Mann.

In photos posted to social media by Drive BC, it appears to be a single-vehicle incident just underneath the Lougheed Highway connector.

As of this publication, it's unclear what exactly happened or how long it will take crews to clear the roads.
