Coquitlam RCMP are looking for a suspect after a home invasion near Dawes Hill Road Wednesday afternoon, March 6.

A man suffered minor injuries and police are looking for a suspect after a home invasion in Coquitlam late Wednesday afternoon, March 6.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Alexa Hodgins said the incident occurred at around 5:15 p.m. when a man entered a residence near Dawes Hill Road and Warrick Street and assaulted one of the occupants before fleeing.

The injured male was transported to hospital.

Hodgins said the incident appears to be targeted and isolated.

The suspect was captured on a security camera at the home.

He is described as:

  • Balding
  • Brown moustache
  • Hazel eyes
  • Medium build
  • Last seen wearing....
    • Long black dress jacket
    • Dark jeans
    • Dark lace up shoes with white soles

Hodgins added investigators are asking anyone with video surveillance or dash-cam video from the area between 5 and 6 p.m. on March 6 to call Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2024-4739.
