Water service has been restored to Port Moody homes near Barnet Highway.
A water main break Wednesday afternoon left several homes near Clarke and Douglas streets without water, but the taps were flowing again by 8 p.m., according to the city.
Residents who noticed dirty water coming out of their taps (due to sediment being stirred up in the nearby water main) were advised to run their cold water tap until the water runs clear. Utility crews were expected to flush the mains overnight, once the repairs were complete.
