A Maple Ridge man was arrested and several weapons were seized after Port Moody Police responded to an incident in the Klahanie Drive area early Friday morning.
Officers received a report at around 1 a.m. on September 19 that a Honda Civic had collided with various road signs before crashing into a tree.
When police approached the suspect, the vehicle's reverse lights came on. The driver was removed from the vehicle before it could be put in motion and the 20-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving.
A set of brass knuckles, a pellet rifle and a knife were seized from the vehicle.
Both the passenger and the driver of the vehicle were treated for minor injuries resulting from the collision.
