Do you have plans for New Year's Eve or New Year's Day?

If it involves heading out on the road, you may want to pay a visit to the gas pump today (Dec. 30) as prices appear to be back on the upswing across the Tri-Cities.

The Costco gas bar in Port Coquitlam (2370 Ottawa St.) is posting 163.9 cents per litre, which is an increase of six cents compared to last Friday (Dec. 23), and one of the cheapest available in all of Metro Vancouver.

GasBuddy.com notes the average price currently sits at around 165.9 cents per litre among the least expensive prices in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody.

As of this publication, the most expensive in the city is 171.9 cents per litre at the Golden Drive Petro-Canada.

Meanwhile, believe it or not, there is a gas station in B.C. that's offering less than $1.30.

Salmon Arm's Petro-Canada on Lakeshore Drive SW is currently posting 129.9 cents per litre.

But, if you don't feel like driving to the Okanagan — and stretching the wallet thin — there is a cheap outlet near the Tri-Cities and a hop over the Pitt River Bridge.

GasBuddy.com says the price at Petro-Canada in Pitt Meadows is 161.9 cents per litre.
