A Burnaby woman will be sentenced in January after pleading guilty to several wildlife trafficking charges last week.
On Nov. 12 Yunhee (Sarah) Kim pleaded guilty to three counts of trafficking in bear gall bladders, two counts of importing or exporting bear paws and two counts of trafficking in wildlife under the province's Wildlife Act. The charges stem from incidents in Merritt and Coquitlam between Oct. 20, 2014 and March 25, 2015.
Also facing charges after a six-month investigation by the BC Conservation Officer Service is Yon Kim. She has not yet entered a plea on charges of trafficking in bear gall bladders, importing or exporting bear paws and unlawful possession of dead wildlife and will appear in court again in Nov. 30.
The charges could mean fines of up to $250,000 and two years in jail.
