A Coquitlam woman is fighting for her life after a near-drowning in River Springs Tuesday morning.
Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Jamie Chung said they were called by a witness at about 8 a.m. to report a woman in the small, unnamed lake near Lodge and Parkland drives.
Chung said the woman was trying to get into her boat but "she couldn't quite make it and she went into the water for a period of time."
Officers arrived on scene, pulled her out of the water and performed CPR before she was transported to hospital, where she's listed in critical condition.
Police are speaking to neighbours and the woman's family to find out what happened.
