A 20-year-old woman who injured her knee Aug. 15 had to be rescued by local volunteers.
Coquitlam Search and Rescue was called out shortly before 2:30 p.m. after reports of a woman became incapacitated on the West Buntzen Trail.
SAR volunteers worked with Buntzen Lake wardens and had to travel several kilometres up the lake to find the woman. Once she was found, the emergency responders put her on a stretcher and she was transported to North Beach via boat to B.C. Ambulance paramedics.
