Helping women fleeing abuse is the goal of fundraiser next month in Coquitlam.
Dawn, A New Day: Put your Love into Action is organized as part of the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation’s Shelter Grant program. The evening features entertainment by the Caulfield School of Dance, a guest speaker from Mary Kay Canada, along with finger foods and pastries. Funds raised will go to Joy’s Place Women’s Shelter run by Tri-City Transitions.
The fundraiser takes place Sunday, Oct. 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Panorama Room at Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club, 3251 Plateau Blvd., Coquitlam.
