Coquitlam's Brittany Aldridge will take to the court with the North Idaho College Cardinals.
The four-time MVP with Coquitlam's Charles Best Blue Devils was named a first-team all-star at the B.C. AAAA high school championships.
"Aldridge is one of those rare athletes who can make fans and teammates alike say 'Wow,'" said Cardinals head volleyball coach Miles Kydd. "Brittany will play a big role in our team's offence in 2013. She has explosive power and an ability to terminate the rally in all situations."
The five-foot-eight outside hitter has been a member of Team BC Volleyball for the past three seasons and was part of the Fraser Valley Volleyball Club that placed third at Canada's U-18 national championship in May. Aldridge also excels in track, and her brother played NCAA division one soccer with Bowling Green State University.
"Brittany is a good student who has her sights set on a D1 opportunity in the future and she certainly has the right combination of athleticism, academic habits and determination to make that a reality," said Kydd.
