Four players pumped in two goals apiece as the Tri-City Bandits tripped the Nanaimo Timbermen 12-8 Monday in a West Coast Senior 'B' lacrosse league playoff game at PoCo Rec Centre.
Andrew Murphy, Darren McEwen, Mac Davis and PoCo Saints' Jr. 'A' call-up Richard Lachlan all struck net twice for the winners, who took the first game in the best-of-three semifinal series. Game 2 is set for tonight (Wednesday) in Nanaimo.
Justin Hawksbee was the Bandits' top point producer with seven, on a goal and six assists. Other Tri-City marksmen were Cam Appels, Jordan Wong and Garrett Chan, another PoCo Jr. 'A' call-up.
On Saturday, Jarrett Neigum zipped in four goals and added two assists as the Bandits beat the Langley Warriors 19-5 to sweep that best-of-three quarter-final in two straight games.
Murphy added three goals for the winners that game.
