Port Moody's Lucas Morissette won a gold medal at the Cadet National Biathlon Championship in Nova Scotia last week.
The flight corporal's team, which included Emile Vogel Nakamura of Vancouver and Daniel Niles of Victoria, took top honours in the six kilometre patrol race, a unique event that begins and ends on the range.
Close to 140 cadets from across the country competed in the event, which take place between March 3 and March 7 in Martok.
Morissette is a member of the Phoenix 754 Squadron Air Cadets.
