Coquitlam's Jeff Wight netted the winning goal to give Canada West the bronze medal at the 2013 World Junior A Challenge.
Canada West defeated Switzerland 5-3 Saturday in the bronze medal game played in Yarmouth N.S.
Wight had a goal and an assist to pace Canada West. Wight, who plays for the Merritt Centennials in the BCHL, finished the tournament with two goals and two assists in four games.
Defenceman Viktor Dombrovskiy, another Coquitlam product who plays with the Langley Rivermen, picked up an assist in the bronze-medal game.
The United States stopped Russia 4-1 to earn the gold.
Russia got past Canada West in the semifinal 5-2.
Canada West opened the tournament with preliminary round wins over Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
