The Port Moody Panthers' season is off to a rough start.

The Pacific Junior Hockey League club is still looking for its first win, after dropping all three of its regular season games, putting them in last place in the Tom Shaw Conference.

Port Moody's latest defeat came at the hands of the Delta Icehawks, who bested the Cats 2-1 at the Port Moody Arena on Saturday night.

Delta opened the scoring in the second period before Panthers forward Evan Gain tied it up with 20 seconds left in the middle frame.

However, the Ice Hawks managed to grab the go-ahead goal at 12:52 of the third, when Cameron Cuthbert buried a pass from Quinten Wideski.

Port Moody had a similar result on Sunday, when the club visited the Grandview Steelers at the Burnaby Winter Club.

The Steelers took an early lead but Adam Rota was able to tie things up going into the first intermission. In the second period, Daniel Delbianco scored on the power play and Port Moody briefly held a 2-1 lead in the third.

But the club could not hold on.

Grandview's Nico Bruno tied things up with five minutes left in the game before Alexander Rasovic buried the game-winner in overtime.

The Cats will try again tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 24) when they take on Aldergrove at the Aldergrove Community Arena at 7:15 p.m. For more information go to www.portmoodypanthers.com.
